Hi, I’m Ailish, and I’ve been an Irish Piediatric nurse for over 30 years. I began my journey in Temple Street Children’s Hospital—Europe’s busiest children’s hospital—where I received world-class pediatric training and learned the importance of compassion, skill, and calm under pressure.
I went on to complete my general nursing training in St. Michael’s Hospital in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, before qualifying and working in the Mater Private Hospital. Not long after, I found my home in the Children’s Ark at University Hospital Limerick, where I’ve spent the past 26 years caring for children and supporting families through everything from everyday health worries to complex medical needs.
With three decades of experience, I can genuinely say: I’ve seen it all. What I’ve learned most is that every family’s situation is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to your child’s health. That’s why I take the time to listen and tailor a programme of guidance and support that fits your unique needs.
I offer a 15-minute consultation for 20 Euro, where you can speak with me directly, ask questions, and get honest, discreet, and non-judgmental advice. And if I can’t help, I will always steer you in the right direction.
I’m fully registered as both an RGN (Registered General Nurse) and RCN (Registered Children’s Nurse).
